ARTISTIC ANATOMY CLASS

The Artistic Anatomy class is designed to help you develop the ability to use a 3 dimensional understanding of human anatomy, its parts, forms, proportions, and functions, in your artistic design/process.

Artists throughout history have used their knowledge of the human form, not only for the purpose of obtaining a believable likeness in their art, but to go beyond likeness to the expression of ideas and emotions. By taking this class you will gain vital information to help you to be able to use the human form with a purpose, not simply copy it.

This class is comprised of a combination of lectures, and sculpting the flayed human figure. First the skeleton is sculpted, with an emphasis on form and proportion. Then onto this skeleton you will sculpt the layers of muscles from deep to superficial.
